UK Tidal API

Tidal predictions from the UK's largest authoritative network of tidal stations

ADMIRALTY

Access tidal predictions for the UK coastline, built using accurate and reliable data from the country's largest network of tidal stations.

The UK Tidal API (Application Programming Interface) allows you to:

  • Get predictions of high tide and low tide times for today and up to six days in advance from the UK Hydrographic Office's (UKHO) tidal database. This can help you to build applications that give the public and businesses a clear outlook of coastal conditions in the UK.

  • Locate over 600 permanent and temporary tide stations around the UK. These include over 40 stations in the Environment Agency's UK National Tidal Network, and many more managed by Port Authorities.

  • Retrieve up to 10 requests per second and 10,000 requests per month from the UKHO's tidal database at no cost.

How to get the API

Get free access by simply signing up to the ADMIRALTY API Developer Portal. This portal also contains documentation and code snippets to help you get the best out of the UK Tidal API.
